Their ad says the following:
"We are seeking young, energetic teachers with a strong grasp of English grammar and communicative student-centered methodology who can teach both children and adults at any level from Elementary to Advanced. With the low cost of living, our teachers earn enough to live comfortably and still enjoy their time here. Previous work experience in the TEFL field is preferred but not necessary."

The aspect of low cost living is misleading. Cost of living (rent, food, transportation, other basic living expenses) could easily absorb 90% of the total salary of 13 Soles per hour. BEWARE! Don't make the same mistake that I made by accepting the job, buying my airline ticket, and only after that, asking probing questions about these things!

Yes, it´s best if you read the forums and look into it before you take up an offer. The general rule for Latin America is to come first and then look around for a job.

But on the other hand, if you´re smart you should be able to live pretty well on that. i.e. don´t live in the expensive part of town, cook your own food sometimes, etc. As long as they give you enough hours.
