Here we go again. Come to Kurdistan. Become a SABIS inmate.
Quote:
Do you want to contribute to rebuilding a nation?
Do you want to experience living in a new culture?
Do you have college student loans to repay?

Make a difference (to our bank balance). Save nothing while we charge:

Erbil has become VERY expensive.

Also, read carefully

because not long ago

SABIS. Do us a favor.

Guess beggars can't be choosers, eh?

And here I thought that elephants had long memories!

I was interested in working for SABIS in 2008... right up until I got an initial offer. The pay was awful and the contract stipulated that teachers had to agree to go to sleep at a reasonable hour so as not to come to work tired the next day! There was quite a bit of unpaid overtime expected, too.

I sent them a polite e-mail to tell them thanks, but no thanks. They replied to say that my application had not been successful. Um, thanks for clearing that up, SABIS!

Regardless of anything else, SABIS/Choueifat schools give off a really creepy, cult-like vibe. There's nothing scientific about it, they just make me deeply uneasy for some reason.
