Dear scot47,

Well, that takes care of that Very Happy

"I would say that the United Kingdom has been an extraordinary partner to us,” replied the President, scandalously. “From the outside at least, it looks like things have worked pretty well,” he went on, breathtakingly. “We obviously have a deep interest in making sure that one of the closest allies we will ever have remains a strong, robust, united and effective partner,” he continued, nakedly threatening the Scottish people with instant nuclear annihilation if they dared defy his order for them to remain forever beneath the hated English jackboot. “But ultimately these are decisions that will be made by the folks there,” he concluded, menacingly.

It was, as the above quotes show, a monstrous display. Scottish nationalists everywhere, from Biggar to the Bahamas, will have been sickened. The brazen effrontery of suggesting that the US and the UK had always got on quite well. The unspeakable insensitivity of asserting that, as far as he could see, the UK was a reasonably successful country. The sheer rudeness of declaring that, on the whole, he would like the UK to continue being reasonably successful, and that he’d also like the UK and the US to continue getting on quite well.

What presumption. What contempt. What meddling. How dare he express an opinion on Scotland, merely because he’d been asked to express one? How dare an international statesman comment on international events? What did he think this was? Some kind of news conference? "

In light of the above I am inclined to review my opinion of the 13th Amendment. Wink

Word is that Cameron privately asked him to say something about those "rebellious Scots".

Dear scot47,

Which would have to mean that the reporter who asked the question at the news conference was a stooge.

Conspiracies everywhere. Very Happy

John

All that is required is for a couple of locals to request annexation, and the Motherland will assist. Long history of co-operation between Scotland and Russia. Much older than the entanglements with the UK or US...

Dear Johnslat

I sense a little mockery in your playful tone. But think about it. The Scots were basically annexed already by the hated English. People they have little in common with. So why not be annexed by a great nation that drinks as hard as they do, eats as unhealtily, is just as dour in outlook, has a great black sense of humour, is as crap at football, but has a native technical genius that is the envy of the world?

The answer is obvious abd inevitable...

: )

The Party is all Roman hands and Russian fingers for our next annexation. Might as well be Scotland. Even have the gasfeilds in common...
