|
|
I am a K-12 certified ESL teacher with experience teaching both children and adults. I would like to teach abroad for a year and take my non-teaching spouse and 2 children with me. Can anyone give me an idea what the best way to do this would be? I would be able to sign only a one-year contract, and I would need a reliable, steady job that could support all four of us. We are pretty flexible as to location, but are not interested in the middle east. Thanks for any advice anyone can provide! |

For k-12/international school jobs, give Teach Away's site a look. Their primary region is the Mid East, but they also have job listings for other countries. |

Also, please be advised that most int'l schools have two or even three year contracts. |

As well as the contract issue, most international schools are looking for content teachers not EFL teachers. When they do hire EFL teachers it's often as support staff not as full teaching staff, and may not confer the other benefits (e.g. free schooling). If you can get certified as a regular/content teacher you will significantly increase your options. |

The OP only has this one post from nearly two months ago. I suspect he's abandoned his idea for the reasons given. |
