|

I have accepted an offer near Foggia with an independent school. I am running in to a lot of red tape getting a work visa. I have applied and am waiting for my Visa, the Italian office said they will send it to me when it gets approved. I am still in the USA. I am worried (of a scam?) I spent 190 euros to start the process and about 300 euros to make it official. Is this normal? Now they want an Italian bank statement, which, of course, I do not have one. I have never been through this process before, so I am getting a little weary about this. Excuse my naivety, but I wonder if this is all normal procedure. |

You have unfortunately been scammed. US citizens cannot get work permits except in exceptional circumstances; private/independent language schools cannot get work permits for non-EU citizens. Read numerous threads below for more info. |
