| So Apple spotlights this traveller who ends up in Vietnam and texts her friends on the newest apple device "Just ate pho with some friends in. HCMC !" I thought to myself how cliche .... I'm going to Vietnam and Apple is making national commercials about their products in Vietnam. Perhaps I'm just a dumb hipster :/ |

| Please realize that Vietnam is full of the newly rich and want to be rich. Apple is the gadget brand of choice and you might be taken aback by how much the Vietnamese lust after Apple products. I read somewhere that in terms of difference between income and amount of Apple sales, Vietnam is number one. I knew some young Vietnamese females who saved their basic salary for an entire year just to buy an iPhone. Quite pathetic really. |
