I received a job offer in Hanoi, but I don't really know what to make of it. My background, degree, diploma in journalism, and certificate in TESOL. I've had an email from the company offering 12 hours a week for the first few months, possibly going up later in the year. A good hourly rate, but with the hours offered it adds up to just short of $1200US before tax. They haven't sent me a contract, and want to know when I can fly. Is it normal not to see a contract? is that enough to live in Hanoi? I'd appreciate any advice.
