Spy,
Thanks for the find.
But, what does this mean for those of us who teach? |

With rules for employing foreigners in Vietnam one can never be too sure what they will actually mean, but if history is anything to go by they will not actually mean much.
Had lunch with a lawyer today and asked him if foreign companies were having issues with the new regulations or not. He said that they weren't overly concerned about them. This was not because their staff could all supply correct and timely documentation, but because of expected lack of enforcement of the new regulations.
As many have pointed out before, he said that the new regulations were really aimed at Chinese construction workers that are here in their 10s or 100s of thousands.
My question to the lawyer was not education specific and it should be noted that most of the companies he deals with are going to be multinationals, etc., rather than small English schools. |
