Does anyone have any experience working in this school? Could you tell me about it? I would really appreciate it. Thank you. |

Big corporate chain with a rep for pushing teachers through at a low level then moving them on once they start getting expensive.
Good option for a short term contract but don't think of them in terms of building a career. |

From what I've been told by a friend who works there, ESLAUST is pretty close to the mark with their description.
Job security is a major uncertainty due to the highly casual nature (she's employed part-time, if it helps). Reputation-wise, I'm told it's one of the better establishments in the market. |

About 2 years ago i was sitting in a starbucks in Sydney and there were some guys at a table nearby chatting about their work there. i think they were working the business side of things rather than teaching there, but their conversation led me to believe that the school was more focussed on making money off people than endeavoring to provide quality education. It's what helped me make my final choice between Navitas and a language institute at a university for my CELTA. They were really terrible at getting back to me about some questions i had over my CELTA application too. i think the way businesses and schools communicate can sometimes be a bit of an indication of what it might be like to work there. If somewhere is well organised and its staff know what's going on or who to speak to so they can find out, it wouldn't take much to find the right information and reply. Seemed a little sloppy to me at the time. |
