Has anyone ever lived in or visited Jalan, Oman ?
Is it a very small town ?
Does it have pharmacies, for example ?
Just wondering....

Looks like it's near Wahiba Sands. You would probably have to drive to Sur for a decent pharmacy.

Jalan is in the sticks - a small, wind-swept desert town, with very little in the way of any amenities. A few years ago, I taught a number of college students, who came from Jalan. They were quite rough and ready bedouin, all low-level, generally not very academic, and obsessed with camels. It is a tribal area, where you would probably stick out like a sore thumb as a foreigner.
