|
|
Greetings all! I am new to the board but hope to be around a while. I am searching desperately for some advice and or help on the visa process. We are a married couple from the US. My wife has a two year contract job in Barca and I would like to come along (of course!) Here is where it gets iffy... Her employer is handleing most of her paperwork including filing for her work permit. We have to go to the consulate (in San Francisco) in person to apply for the visas. Other than a passport, a marriage cert., and the letters from a doctor and the police what do I need to present as a non-working spouse seeking residency? As far as I can tell there is ZERO chance of getting a work permit without a contract from Spain so all I am seeking is residency for the time being. Any help is very much appreciated and if anyone has gone through the same process let me in on the secrets!
