I have a girlfriend who was recently working 170 hours in April and 180 hours in May and was not paid over time or full salary. Much less for housing either that costs 1000 Liras for house and bills out of her salary.....
So is it legal for a company to expect you to work 170 to 180 hours a month and not pay you for the over time and also not pay you for a full salary and then tell you to hit the road???
Can legal action be taken against schools for this kind of behavior?
Need some legal advice for her and others who suffered from the same school and owners
Thanks |

You can take action
If she has a contract, it must be in Turkish and she is well protected by the Turkish Labour Laws...if she doesn't have a contract, then a call to the Tax Police and the Labour Ministry will produce a response, but no money. If you know a friendly lawyer, then get them to call and menace the school for at least a partial payment. If you DO take legal action, it is a long, llong process, but you'll probably win. |

The worst part is that people like this bully younger teachers and get away with it ... |
