nomad soul, how is the response "non-Muslim" on applications generally viewed? When I applied for positions in Saudi Arabia, I had to specify either Muslim or Christian and was told there were no other acceptable responses. |
I'd written "non-Muslim" on my Saudi visa application---it obviously wasn't an issue. I'd applied for my visa through the SACM since I was a direct hire. I think visa agents tend to be fussier about what visa applicants should write on their applications. |
Interesting. I applied for a direct hire position with an international school in Saudi Arabia and was advised to put only one of those two choices. (As you know, most positions for international schools are direct hire). Yes, recruiters and visa agents tend to be much fussier about these sorts of things. |

I work for ADEC, so I can answer #2.
If you come at the beginning of the year, you will receive full salary for the summer months. If you come later, as in October, or February, or whatever, you will receive a prorated amount of your summer pay. The formula for calculating this prorated amount is nebulous but will be in the ballpark. |
