Indonesians should be ok with visas on arrival, it lasts for 30 days but you can get it extended once for another 30 days, 20 OMR each time. After that it would involve a visa run to Dubai and start again. Best to check the current status yourself. Good luck. |

I'm hoping to come next year with my American wife and kids. Any info on whether they can do a visa run? |

TATI told me it would be two to three weeks for my Indonesian wife. It ended up being closer to eight, but that was largely complications with my son, not her.
Be aware: she has to get a physical before she comes, the results of which have to be sent to Oman along with all the other typical documents. |

Any sort of official stuff starting in September will likely be delayed due to eid at the start of October so I think 6 weeks is a wee bit optimistic... |

Hmm.....If I recall, what happened was I brought the marriage certificate with me, gave it to them, and they took care of it with the Indo embassy here in Muscat. I don't even think there's an Omani consulate in Jakarta.
Remember, her physical has to be with a GAMCA clinic; you can't just get it at any old clinic. |

I think she'll have to do it in Indonesia. And you'll have to submit the report before she can be issued a visa. |
