Hello. I'm an American who just moved to Medellin three weeks ago. A friend helped me get a job at her private language institution, but I am beginning to find out that my lack of hours and low pay there will not be enough. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to go about increasing my income in Medellin. If anyone has any advice on how to pick up private tutoring lessons or knows of any schools/institutions where they have had good luck getting a better job, it would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time, Josh |

You could try computrabajo.com, or Paginas Amarillas and just rock up to the institutions saying you're looking for work. As for "better pay" it depends on your qualifications, experience and of course what you're getting at the moment. |

Have you mentioned to your own students that you offer private tutoring sessions? Maybe you could hand them a flyer with your info. You may also want to try putting up flyers around universities. |
