Has anyone heard of CLTA Training Centre in Riyadh? They are originally from the Peel District School Board in Ontario, Canada. It's a new venture to train Saudi students in Riyadh who plan to study in a Canadian university next year.
I am thinking of teaching there but I'm not sure. It's run by a non-English speaking Saudi man but organized from Canada. Who has the authority to enforce school rules? To insure all the promises made to the teacher are actually carried out? I've taught in other schools in Riyadh where class rules were stated in paper but the administration would not back up the teacher in enforcing them. This is a money-making outfit so will keeping the students happy (and paying) be of more importance than enforcing rules and keeping them studying diligently?
Thanks.................. |
