I understand Tunisia and Morooco have a lot in common.....when it comes to YOUR MONEY...Do not carry any cash through their airport customs without declaring every cent or pence of it!!!! Recently a Canadian colleague of mine working in Misrata, Libya had his 500 Canadian Dollars taken away from him at Tunis Airport on stopover on his way home to Canada for not declaring it!!!!! You are forewarned. |

NEW currency restrictions also apply to carrying any cash on board a plane when travelling in North Africa... |

All countries have checks on carrying cash in and out. They don't like it., You might be using it to buy stuff they disapprove of ! |
