Beware of Doha Modern Secondary School. It is a scam. They contact teachers throuigh LinkedIn offerieng a job. After the teachers send in all the Docs they(the Govt Visa Offioce) then requires you to send the visa fee of $970 to their account in Doha. Then when you do they ask for another $2000 due to new Govt Regulations. it all goes up in smoke. Don't send them a penny and aleert anyone you know. If you check out their url address on Whois.com you find way down on the bottom a name register server in Nigeria. Avoid Avoid Avoid. They're slick and very convincing. |

NEVER NEVER NEVER pay one penny towards a visa in the Middle East before arrival. I believe that there may some small schools that make you pay some of it once you are in the country and finish all the medical requirements and paperwork. The minute they tell you that you need to send money before arrival, you know that it is a scam. If you got caught, you are sadly not the first. Usually they seem to work using the UAE to catch their victims. They also piggyback on existing schools often even referring you to the school website. See this thread as it has been going on for some years now:

It may be time to have a sticky on this board too. I'll suggest it to the MODs.

BTW... have you notified LinkedIn about these scammers using their system?
I'm not familiar with how that website works, but hopefully there is an administration that can help with this.
