Hello my name is Steven. Does any one have any info on ESL Suite Consulting? They post jobs on this site. I checked to see any info on yahoo search and couldn't find anything. I'm a ESL teacher here in Mexico city and know that their is a lot of variables to moving to a new country and well usually can't trust recruiters. Which is why I'm asking on this board. They have some jobs in China this company. Any info greatly appreciated. Steven.

Hi Stephen,

Never heard of them.

Do your homework. Make sure you check out a school and talk to teachers, preferably over the phone, prior to signing a contract. Don't pay the recruiter anything and don't go with a recruiter that siphons off part of your pay cheque.

There's really no way of knowing who is good and who isn't. Ultimately, it's the school that is more important.

I went with a recruiter once with a a good reputation (in Korea). They placed me in a terrible school, the teacher I emailed didn't exist when I got there (at least I believe the head teacher wrote the reply email) and I ended up needing a lawyer just to get my money.

At the end of the day the recruiter is just a gateway.

Hey talentedcrayon thank you for that great advice. I'm sorry to hear you had a bad experience in South Korea. As you say sometimes no way of knowing. I'm going to take your advice, thank you for responding.
