What happens if you are delayed returning and your exit/entry visa expires before you can get back? Are you stuck in limbo or can you send your passport to the Kingdom so that your sponsor can apply for a new entry visa on your behalf? |

My understanding is that you'll need to contact your sponsor asap and hope they're sympathetic to your situation. Additionally, your iqama needs to be valid for at least several weeks while your sponsor reapplies for a visa for you to reenter the country. If it expires before the reentry visa date, then... |

It can take a long time to sort out. For most employers it means starting the whole process ab initio. (For non-classicists, that means "from the beginning")
Of course I left in 2011 and it may be that total freedom of movement has now been granted to indentured teachers ! (Irony Alert !) |

You need to contact your embassy. They have a person who handles immigration questions by email. |

I doubt very much if Her Britannic Majesty's Ambassador would waste the time of day replying. He has affairs of state to deal with ! |
