Me and the Mrs need our certificates and documents certified in the UK. I've done a search and read that it can be done in Oman; do I want to go through that process? Certainly not!!
Any advice, agency, cost and/or direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance..

Why don't you do it in the UK?
Through a lawyer, then at the foreign office, and last with the Omani consulate? |

Take the original certificate/degree with a photocopy to a registered lawyer, the lawyer will certify and sign the photocopy and puts his stamp. Then take the same documents to the foreign office in London, the foreign office will certify/legalise the signature of the lawyer in the photocopy. Then take the documents to the Omani consulate/embassy so that they will certify the photocopy of your certificate/degree. The Omani consulate/embassy will not certify the document if it is not first certified by the British foreign office.
The process on how to certify/legalise your UK document by the foreign office using online option, you need to follow the link below:

Unless it's changed recently the FCO Office is in Milton Keynes and only accepts postal applications. OP please check what you need, they may also demand apostilled copies of your school certs and all transcripts. Probably best to get the marriage cert done too. Hope you have plenty of spare cash! It's not cheap! |

I got mine for Oman done via this company in the UK, earlier this year - link below:

I sent them the documents via registered post & found their service to be very efficient - I live in the north of England and had no wish to spend time or money travelling anywhere.
They were prompt at answering queries as well |

OK cool I think I got it!
I can use a service like the one stated; or to do it independently I have to get a solicitor/lawyer to sign the photocopied documents. Then send these signed docs to the FCO office for authentication, then finally take these to the Omani consulate/embassy for final approval!
This should be fun.
Thanks guys. |

Hi Ajmal.
There are many agencies who can help you with document certification. You can search on Google and can get many legalized certification agencies. NATADAN LTD is one of the best translation agency in UK. You can check their website here: http://certifiedandlegalised.co.uk and can get all the information you required. |

Did you notice that this thread is from 3 years ago. I doubt this fellow is still in the certification process. LOL
