Ms. Swift has already proven herself adept at handling authority figures.

Indeed. The Princeton Review is much more impressive when they're teaching students how to beat ETS at their own game.*

*Since Princeton Review and ETS are both singular entities, I'm assuming that they would consider the above sentence grammatically incorrect because I used they and their instead of it's and its.

*buzzer*
That's a poor comparison.
I don't understand taking the time to post a response to linked articles you've failed to scan. I caught John doing it a few weeks ago too.
But you guys rule. Rock on.

On the contrary, Swift is actually an accomplished singer and songwriter. Unlike the Kardashians who are better know for . . . well . . . just being famous . . .

Why should anyone give a monkey's bazoomba about some singer of popular songs and her ability to use English ?

Dumbing down continues as we career into Armageddon.

You should likely save your chestnuts and colorful euphemisms for another fire, another lawn...

Before the Apple story...there was earning a reputation as an advocate for artists, songwriters and producers when she removed her music catalog from Spotify in late 2014. According to Fortune Magazine, T-Swift is more than just a pretty voice and face. The pop star is a powerful leader with the ability to change the world. And ranked #6 (above Obama) on their list. Or How about this Billboard article? That relates how much of her work is her own.

Point being, the OP isn't as random or irrational as you assert (months after its initial posting).

My curiosity was aroused when I saw the news that she is supposedly looking at spending £4.6 million on a wee house in Scotland

Granted that Ms Swift is a fine singer. Call ne crazy. but having someone who's famous for her singing voice be "a powerful leader with the ability to change the world" is a situation that makes me a tad uncomfortable.

Regards,
John

Dear John,

As always, the voice of reason. I totally agree.
