Hello all. Anybody have experience with this recruiting agency? I have been offered a position at King Saud in Riyadh through them.
I remember reading on the forums a while ago that someone had a bad experience with management at Al Hussan, but I don't think they wore working for a university through them. |

They seem to pay their people on time. They aren't the highest paid and they are slower than Ed Ex and ICEAT in getting their folks needed documents. Pay is the only reason people stay in KSA. |

Thanks, Cletus. Pay is also the first and last reason I'm looking at KSA. I'm surprised to hear that pay is lower through them, as my offer was quite good. As a teacher with 2+ years of ESL experience and an unrelated master's degree, I shouldn't be expecting anything more than about ~$4,000 monthly, should I? |

$4000 US is unlikely given your qualifications unless you have some desirable knowledge or skill the employer is interested in. |

Last week, I received an offer for $3,800. |

Hi Jechaca - I've been offered a place at KSU too. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Just hope there's a good social scene among the teachers. |

3,800?
Was that including the housing and transportation allowance or not? |

I have an offer from them as well. Does anyone know how long they will take to get me my iqaama and then bring my family over? |

The employment/work visa is valid for 90 days, during which time the employer would be requesting your iqama. It could be issued to you in a week or up to a month.
You'd have to check with the employer regarding when your family can join you, but it's likely to be after you've passed your probationary period (generally 3 months). |

I heard teachers are now among the professions that cannot bring their families to stay with them permanently (i.e., only 3-month visitor visas).
Does anyone know if there's any truth to that? |

This is not the case. Someone may be telling you this because they cannot offer you a legit visa. |

So I can expect to have my iqaama within a maximum of 4 months after arrival? |

Also, is there anyone here who is already working for al-Hussan and can offer a review of their experience thus far? |

Ninety days is approximately 3 months, not 4. |

I don't think you should give yourself a time limit when it comes to the iqama. Perhaps try and find out through people who work with them, how long it has taken them to get their iqamas. 4 months sounds too good to be true, as even ICEAT (which is a better company out of the lot, to work for), took longer than that to set up iqamas. |
