Does anyone know what documents are needed from the employer when applying for a work visa? A prospective employer asked me today, they want to obtain a 3 year work visa. Thanks

Follow the link: http://www.fms.gov.ru/government_services/withoutvisa/

Keep in mind you'll have to take the state test on Russian language, history and law in order to get a work visa.

Thanks, strangely many people think that teachers don't need to have a test. Maybe some shady schools are just issuing business visas?

Alex, I already talked about this in another thread. Teachers don't need to take the test. When you said work visa, I thought you meant a general work visa. To get a teacher visa, you don't need to take the test. Teachers are exempt. The rules I linked apply ONLY to common work visas, not teacher visas (or work visa for the purpose of teaching).

What's the problem with taking the test anyway? Aren't we all B2 at least?
