British friends based in Barcelona, but here in London on holiday, tell me that the amount of unemployment 'el paro' depends on how long you have been employed.
You have to show that there has been an end or authorized suspension of employment, so I'm not sure if that includes school holidays. You have to register as a Job Seeker and sign an Activity Agreement.
If you have previously worked and paid contributions in any EU or EEA country, you can use those to claim unemployment benefit. Fill in form E301 for this.
They say the minimum professional wage unemployment benefit is 663 Euros a month but you must check this out in Spain. |
