The grammatical errors are suspicious, but the paltry 8 GBP an hour seems about right for rip-off Britain. What a bunch of crooks. |

Yes, you take out a loan to do a degree and get into massive debt, but decide to crack on and do your CELTA and get into more debt figuring you can pay all the money back upon landing a lucrative job at a prestigious language institute in London. And then the reality hits: £8 an hour. What a joke. At that measly rate of pay, you'd be paying off loans well into your old age. |

They'll get the 'teacher' they deserve paying those rates in London. You could make more money clearing tables at Nando's, probably more enjoyable too. |

.. or learning a skill to become a plumber or electrician much better than teaching English in London for a peanut salary. |

Care International Ltd is actually a charity dealing with fighting poverty worldwide. I suspect this is little better than 'volunteering'. They were probably unable to recruit unpaid volunteers.... |

Maybe they pay £13 for a Delta-qualified teacher? Wow! Why are hourly rates so low in this city? I'm even witnessing this on summer presessional courses: hourly rates are falling. How much lower do these schools think they can go? It's criminal. |
