Hello, just wondering if anyone has any leads on teaching positions in Singapore, preferably ones that require a masters degree. I have 6 years experience teaching in Asia too.
If you know any universities, centres or have links to help please let me know.
thank you, much appreciated.
Ross

A master's in what? Frankly, be proactive and start your info-gathering by scrolling through the discussion topics on this forum. You'll find some quite helpful.

Yes, plenty of jobs. Starting at $5-$6kish for MA holders.

Check relevant job sites and type in English lecturer.

Note that accommodation is very expensive for people who need to rent. Many of the long term residents here have bought a property and so don't suffer from rental issues.

$5-6k would be fine if one had little to no housing costs. For example, Expatistan states that a regular studio in an average area is $2k/mo, and that a nice 2-bed in a good area is $4k. So rent and taxes could easily consume around 2/3 of that salary, or more.

$8-9k should therefore be your target if you have to pay rent and wish to live comfortably and still save some money each month. I don't imagine there are too many making that without putting in a lot of hours, but it would be good to know what the pay ranges have been for some of the experienced EAP folk.
