http://j1visa.state.gov/programs/teacher

It just says a degree equivalent to a US bachelor's degree. I assume my diploma and letter stating it is a bachelor's degree equivalent is acceptable as a US equivalent degree too.

The rest of the requirements are ok.

So this is one way of being able to teach in the US but you need to meet the requirement to teach in primary or secondary schools in your home country (which I do).

I don't know what satisfy the standards in the US state means exactly but I think some UK teachers I know have had to do an exam to qualify for this standard. I can't remember offhand what the exam is called.

Salaries seem to vary between $30k and up to $40 or more depending on if you have a bachelor's masters or PHD.

Ura! He's a vampire style troll who sucks way too much time and energy from well-meaning posters who have no idea he's not genuine. Both on the open forum and via pms (got two or three myself in this round) Rolling Eyes
