|
|
I thought Id post this and see where it goes. Im looking at working in Spain for a year, if I can find something. Im an American ESL teacher with 20 years experience in ESL and Spanish. If anyone reads this has has any specific schools or positions they can send my way you can reply or PM me. Ive heard about people just going over and walking around with resumes but Id prefer to have something in place beforehand. I have no problem with an under the table position as the visa thing can be such a pain. Anyone knowing a decent school that's willing to work with me please send the info my way and Ill go from there. Thanks |

I am currently in Spain, from UK, and so far am getting nothing whatsoever It seems they value a celta in Spain so that may help, if you have one? But then there is the fact that most ads put that they require an EU Citizen, so for now that means british people are still OK. You could work for cash under the table, but the risk of being caught would always be there, and I am not sure what you would do visa wise. Good luck, but it's slim pickings on the ground, I'd make sure to have a concrete offer before you arrive.... |

It's highly doubtful a legit employer would extend an offer for illegal work to an American.
Mexico, Central and South America are doable options. |

I just think it would be a waste of time and money to come over without a definite offer. Apart from South Korea and the gulf, I don't think Spanish employers refund flights for EFL teachers, unless anyone else knows otherwise? |
