Hi everyone
I applied for a teaching position with MOE and passed everything such as the interview etc. Beginning of August, I sent my documents away for security check by the UAE immigration and I haven't heard anything back.
Is there anyone in the same boat as me?
It's a bit worrying that schools start in September and I haven't been granted my visa or anything? |

My visa is currently "being processed" after (presumably passing) security check and what have you.
Check with your recruiter if you haven't already. Do you know the person with MOE? Check with them too, although expect a brick wall... |

I'm going through TeachAway and every time I ask them it's the same answer" we are still waiting for the official contract and security checks".
Have they given you a start date? |

I would expect that Teachaway is giving you all the information that they have. Things work slowly in the Gulf... and then they will expect you to fly out with very short notice. LOL Also the Eid holiday is coming up, so that could delay you if the visa process isn't finished before.
A lesson in patience...
