|
|
Hello All,
My wife and I recently interviewed with a recruiter in Turkey about jobs in Istanbul, and he mentioned that female teachers weren't allowed to wear Hijab in the schools at the Elementary to High School levels. Can any one clarify or comment on this? I am going to follow up and clarify whether this was only true for the schools that his company deals with, or a general rule across the board. He did mention there were some kindergarden positions available which she would be okay for.
Thanks! |

if you want to wear the hijab then look for work in saudi arabia, or you can wait till erdogan finishes his view 2023 for turkey then you should be ok to wear all islamic clothing there then.
end of transmission

lol, the hijab hasn't been an issue, nor should it be, in any other country we've interviewed or worked in. |

There are actually a lot of schools that do accept female teachers that wear the hijab here in Istanbul, although some do discriminate. |
