Recently there was a murder of a student at the MTC by another student . Teachers applying to work here need to know that the students are not allowed to leave the campus on weeknights creating a pressure cooker environment.

Oman is still a very tribal society. This was most likely a disagreement between two families... or it could have just been a problem between these two young men. This is not the first time that this has happened around the Gulf, and even at SQU some years ago. It happens everywhere in the world, and often ends just like this.
As a teacher, while upsetting, it wouldn't be a factor that would decide whether I worked there or not.
