Hello,
I am an experienced ESL teacher with a CELTA, and I'll be graduating in May with a Master's in ESL curriculum and instruction. I have been looking for career opportunities in Mexico (anywhere) that will allow me to use my shiny new degree as well as earn a decent Mexican wage (i.e. not volunteer positions.) I would love a director/coordinator type position but would settle for teaching at a university. The trouble is, I'm having trouble finding those types of jobs. I've searched university websites for job listings with little success, and most typical job sites only list they typical language school teaching jobs. Does anyone have advice for where to find higher level jobs in Mexico?
FYI- I currently live in Chiapas and I do speak Spanish |

I don't know if this is helpful, but at my school (low-tier IB) they have an office that coordinates all of the English teaching activities. I'm guessing many private K-12 schools have this. Perhaps sending resumes to those schools would get you onto the track you're looking for? (There is a list on Anglo Info of all the private schools in CDMX.) |
