Hi

I saw an add for Zayed University in the UAE. Does anyone know what the pay is like, working hours, job conditions, and cost of living?

I am currently working in KSA, job and pay are great, just living here can be boring.

Teaching a bit of English there involves working with non-matriculated mostly low-level unmotivated students. If you go on Glassdoor, the place gets a 1.9/5, which is worse than HCT even! And living in AD is expensive, so don't expect to save like you can in KSA.

Zayed has two branches... one in Dubai and one in Abu Dhabi. The reality is that there is a bigger percentage of teachers at ZU than HCT that have been there for many years and are happy enough with the situation. They have normally had higher level students than HCT.

The last person that touched base with me about taking a position there in the last couple months told me that their pay/benefits package has not deteriorated like HCT. They informed this person that they provided the flat and a major settling-in allowance.

That alone would make it preferable to HCT.
