ADEC announces holidays for next school year

ABU DHABI // The dates of holidays and commencement for the upcoming school year have been announced for Abu Dhabi schools.
Abu Dhabi Education Council said the next school year will start on September 10 for pupils and September 3 for teachers. Winter break is expected to last for four weeks, from December 17 to January 14, 2018, when the second term begins. The spring break holiday will start on March 25 and last through April 7. The final term is expected to start on April 8. The last day of school for pupils is July 5, and teachers will work until July 12.
The school year will last 180 days, ADEC said.
