|
|
I have applied for several of the online teaching jobs advertised on this site over the last few weeks.
I haven't had a reply from any of the companies at all.
I live in the UK. Have any others had this problem?
Or is it maybe the settings on my email account that are causing the problem? |

This is not a very busy time for a lot of places. Have you tried applying for schools in China and Korea? They seem to be hiring a lot right now. I work for an online school that hires from time to time, but it can often take a while to hear back as they generally bring on teachers in groups, not one by one. |

I've started teaching on an app but there doesn't appear to be great money in it .The Wiley Chinese students like to shop around for a bargain. I'm thinking of trying some Korean apps if anyone has any suggestions ? |

Thanks for the info, I have tried the Chinese one's, I just haven't had anything in the way of replies. I will persevere! |

Could be they're worried about the time zone difference. |

I did wonder that, it is why I asked the question on here to see if others in the UK have the same problem?
If it is the problem, it would be nice to just get a reply from them, but so far, nothing, and that's from about six different companies! |

Brian, do your qualifications match those that are asked for by the companies you are applying to? That is the most common reason for non-response. (As you probably already know, just thought it worth a mention!) Another thought: is your CV well presented, letter perfect, and organized so that your suitability for the job is evident at a glance? Cover letter specific to the job in question, not generic?

Thanks for all of your information and tips.
I applied to Cambly and was signed up within hours, so all sorted now.
Any others on there? |
