Saw an ad for ESL Starter Japan on the tefl websites. I am interested to hear from anybody who has worked for them and could give me information about working there and living in Japan? I have never been to Japan and considering teaching there. I am the usual CELTA, First degree applicant but 50 years old. My experience is 2003 to 2014 and four weeks summer school just passed. |

In reply to my own message ESL Starter are an agency who now want me to work for Shane Japan! I didn't like working for Shane Taiwan so am ignoring this, tho if anyone has info on Shane Japan happy to hear. I know in 2006 they were very unpopular. |

I did an interview with them and was accepted, as a part of the process they want me to send my Original University Degree and TEFL Certificate to them by mail, is this normal behavior? |

I'm not sure if it's usual for this company to ask for original certificates etc, but I would only ever send certified COPIES ! If those get lost in the post you'll still have the originals. |
