You've been talking about the best salaries etc, but I was just wondering what you can expect to earn in TEFL.
I'm earning 17-22 euros/hour, but as a beginner I'm not wishing to teach more than 20 hours - too much stress. That makes it maximum 1600 euros/month, but usually it's closer to 800-1000 euros considering the taxation and the hours that I work.
Is this a typical salary? |

Your post is from Finland. Is that where you are teaching? You need to be more specific about where you are and what you are doing. Payment rates depend on country and location within the country. Other factors (among many others!) are the kind of school you work for and your job responsibilities. |

In Bulgaria you would get 1 Euro an hour. In the Middle East it would be more like 40. And there are large variations WITHIN countries.
Private language schools often make their money by charging high prices to stduents and paying minimal fees to teachers. |
