Some recruitment website visitors my have noticed that British Education, a website available in English & Russian, has been advertising recently for 3 teachers to work in Tashkent. They are offering £1000 pcm. They are based in London, but their postal address is not given
I can report that the current recruitment campaign follows an unsuccessful attempt to start an English language study centre in Taskent earlier this year. This also has a website, still open despite their lack of any trading activity right now. Since the company is inactive, it cannot apply for any B2 visa to be extended to the appointees.
My advice is to avoid any contact with this company's representative. He appears friendly and willing to help but the reality, in my experience, is that there is no school in Tashkent (yet) and no operative office there. The likelihood of there ever being any classroom accommodation and students is very slim, in my view.
Hope you ELT professionals will take this as friendly advice! Thanks for reading this. |
