Hi everyone,

I was wondering where you suggest I look for university positions. I have an MA in TESOL and over eight years teaching experience with two years experience teaching in the US at a university IEP and almost 5 years in two different universities in Colombia. Pus, I have teacher training and curriculum design experience.

You're about five+ years too late.The three major employers (HCT, Zayed U, and UAEU) for the English foundation year programs have been tightening teacher contracts and drastically reducing hiring in anticipation of dissolving these programs. There's a lot of competition for the few spots that open up in the UAE.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll be at the conference, so I'll definitely be checking out the job fair. I'm still not sure if I want to leave my current position, but I'm doing some research to see what's out there.

You might try Astute Education who is recruiting for the UAE MOE. They've advertised on tesol.org. The only thing is that they don't guarantee placement at a university as they also recruit for k-12 placements and for language centers. They require a face-to-face interview and their last scheduled one in the UAE is on 9th December. They also have tentative interview dates in the UK, Ireland, and in the USA.
