Does anybody know when we can get our income tax refund?
It's about 5 weeks after filing as I remember.

So what is an approximate date for getting an income tax refund?

It depends. For me it is a few weeks but a teacher I know who lived up in Saitama but then moved to Kawasaki had to wait almost two months.

I think I found the answer at a consulting website called Shimada & associates.
They say " file a return to the District Director of Tax Office during the period from February 16 through March 15 of the following year"

I believe you get your refund about 5-6 weeks after filing your income tax. Maybe at the end of April.

I dunno. Maybe Kawasaki is quicker at this than Yokohama.
Weird thing is, sometimes I get the refund faster or slower than my spouse.
