I am looking for articles and books on best practices for ESL teaching.

I know that my questions are broad, and plenty can be found even on Google, but I want to hear honest opinions.

I have my answers, I want to hear yours.

Can anyone recommend good stuff they personally like a lot?

Thanks

Based on the type of questions you tend to post...

When was the last time (if ever) you enrolled in professional development training or attended any major TESOL conference (e.g., IATEFL, TESOL Int'l, etc)? Those types of collaborations are more likely to help you compared to skimming a few articles on ESL.

BTW, since you're in China, you might take a look at Opportunities for professional development? on the China forum.

In China?
If that's really the case, then what's best practice in my European context isn't applicable to your students in many respects. Thus, any considered response on my part is simply a waste of time. I'll save it for people I know are teaching in situations similar to mine, thanks.

I agree with nomad: go post this on the China forums.

I read the 1984 version, it would be interesting to see this newer one.
