Hi folks,
I'm a freshly minted CELTA holder who's been applying for jobs here and there. Had a successful first Skype interview with a school in China, hurrah. However, now they're asking me to tape a demo lesson. Could anyone offer me a spot of guidance for taping a demo with no students?
Thanks in advance for anything at all, bit lost currently,
Kind regards,
Barry |

As far as an audience, gather a few friends to act as students so that you won't have to teach to an empty room.
BTW, there are plenty of videos and articles about recording a demo lesson. Google efl demo lesson record.
That said, it would be helpful if you provided info on who your learners are for this China job as well as what you're expected to do a demo on and for how long. |

Thanks Nomad,
I shall have a look around YouTube. As for the specifics, it's an English language drama school with student ages ranging between 6 and 18. They just want a ten minute video, there's been no specificity regarding a topic.
Probably aim for something quite creative, drama school after all. |
