I may consider getting a Master's in TESOL. Of course, I am not sure that I can justify the $50,000 cost. |
Since you currently work as a trainer for the US government, check with the OPM about tuition assistance. Also, instead of majoring in TESOL, consider an MA in Curriculum and Instruction, which is more in line with your present role and more marketable for positions outside of TESOL. |
Unfortunately, there is limited tuition assistance with the United States government. I could get an MBA. There is some agreement they have to get an MBA for half of the normal tuition rate with a few partner schools. |

There seems to be a pattern as a continuation of your other related thread:

I have a good government job in the United States, but am thinking about giving it up to go abroad again, any suggestions? Is a stable living and pension worth spending the next 25 years working a job I don't really enjoy!
....
The first issue is getting out of working in a cubicle. I am currently 37. It has been difficult to start working in a cubicle at the age of 35. Whether, I leave the United States or not, I need to get out of this cubicle.

There are many options, maybe the problem is too many options. Some things that I am considering: Peace Corps, government job abroad, real estate, and pilot. |

Maybe I should apply to the Peace Corps. I would also know about the Foreign Service and Defense Language Institute by then anyways. |

It sounds like you're fishing and hoping TEFL, piloting aircraft, selling houses, or whatever will be the answer to your boredom in your current government job.
Stay in the US and get the MBA--there are a variety of specializations/areas of interest you can choose from. Then focus on changing jobs while using your PTO to travel.

nomad soul, funny since I am likely to join the Peace Corps. I am trying to figure out when. The Peace Corps is probably best since I can return to working for the government after my three years as a Peace Corps volunteer. Maybe, I can even get a permanent job with the Peace Corps. |
