I'll outline what has occurred in very simple terms:

On my last vacation exit, on providing fingerprint at airport I was told there was a problem. He gentleman wasn't able to tell me what it was about. He then let me exit on vacation.


On returning after vacation and providing fingerprint I was again told there was a problem. I was taken to an office in the airport. Presented with a paper in Arabic and told that I owed money to someone in a city I worked in 2 years ago.

My MOI account is open and clear.

I have since found out that someone has taken a civil case against my name in the civil court in that city in which I worked.

I'm writing here to ask if anyone has experience of this?

I'd appreciate anyone with relevant experience to share their story.

It's a scam. They do have those types of scams there. Not being from the West, you would be a nice target. At any rate there is nothing they can do legally to you, if there was you would have been arrested.
