I heard that they were downsizing a few years back, so perhaps they have restructured.
The "boys" are sweet kids from outlying Emirates. They haven't been immersed in English, as many of their "city cousins" may have been. They seem like nice kids, imbued with a will to contribute to the Police or Military, and to gain a foothold in society's acceptance.
The school had been in a re-purposed Shopping Mall that never even opened as a mall. It is well-fitted out with wide halls and acceptable technology.
There are lots of housing options near-by. The neighborhood is pleasant with a mix of coffee shops, Indian restaurants and grocery options. Bargain hard on rent; Abu Dhabi has overbuilt and any building could use a stable teacher with a contract.
Take any salary offer and lob off 10%. That is for VAT (5%), but the way it has been implemented, you will get double VATTED on many items. |
