Hey all!

I'm searching for academic jobs (at postdoc or higher) in the major international relations/political science/conflict studies etc. I have a strong background in Asian universities rather than the Middle East, thus, I would be more than grateful for any information about open positions or, if you know, any other websites with such offers.

Thank you very much!

Try HigherEdJobs as well as individual university websites, particularly those that teach in English (e.g., American University of Sharjah (UAE), United Arab Emirates University (UAE), Sultan Qaboos University (OMN), American University in Cairo (EGY), the numerous western universities with a presence in Qatar, and so on). Wikipedia offers lists of colleges and universities by country.

That said, it's likely your domain (international relations/western political science/conflict studies) isn't commonly taught in the GCC given the region's cultural, historic and religious contexts. Also, some positions may require bilingual English-Arabic fluency.

Good luck.

thank you for some suggestions. Actually, information about specific universities is very useful, as you have written, not all have the disciplines or departments that i'm searching for.

Very few universities in the region recruit teaching staff from the Anglosphere for this field of study.
