|
|
Hello, I'm from Bangladesh. I've CELTA, MA in ELT, BA in English, and more than 2 years of ESL teaching experience.
My first choice was China but according to the new law, as a non-native speaker, I'm not eligible for getting a work visa. The rules are the same for Korea and Japan.
Is there any countries that recruit non-natives? |

Scroll down this forum a bit to "A non-native's teaching journey..." for a related discussion. |

I definitely see non native speakers get some work in Taiwan. I don't think the pay is quite as high though. China would be a good bet as well. |

Your biggest issues are your passport and possibly your accent.
Your passport doesn't travel well and far too many applicants from Bangladesh have accents that are often unintelligible by people from outside of the Indian region.

I've seen loads of non-native speakers all over the Middle East. |

I think the issue is intelligibility. |
