This organisation is what is known as a 'Mac School' to those familiar with this sites jargon-i.e. think of working for Macdonalds, but teaching English instead of cooking and serving burgers etc!
But in all fairness, many branches away from their Moscow H.Q. are run as franchises and conditions depend a great deal on who is running it, the other staff and the premises etc.As a general rule though, these firms offer a way into teaching for newbies and provide you with the very basics and that includes salaries! Most people use them as a stepping-stone to find something better but bear in mind that conditions in Russia are not very favourable anyway for various reasons and this affect both locals and ex-patteachers. |
