Hello! I have a question about qualifications/employment in Doha.

My current qualifications:
Native English Speaker (American citizen)
Bachelor's Degree (Marketing and Spanish Language)
TEFL Certified
2 years experience of teaching EFL in Europe at a prestigious primary school

I have looked at many schools in Doha, Qatar and they seem to only want British curriculum certified teachers or teachers with a specific education degree.

Does anyone now of any schools that hire outside of that requirement or make exceptions? Or have any advice? Would you say it is worth it to still apply even if I don't meet their initial qualifications?

I am not very interested in language centers because of the antisocial nature of the hours.

I appreciate any and all help!

Thank you

Unfortunately, your qualifications (unrelated degree, lack of a US teaching license, and zero US k12 experience) fall short of the type of requirements needed to teach children in public and international schools in the Gulf. Generally, countries that pay top dollar tend to have the most stringent requirements.
